Life is full of ups, downs, and unpredictable situations; Overcoming the Uncertain Season is a book for everyone to be used during challenging seasons, happy seasons and all seasons in between. This book is written purposely for you the reader.
We all go through a period of uncertainty in life; yet the uncertainty rarely leads to bad outcomes we fear. There is a quote that states “life begins at uncertainty.” I agree; it truly does. Anxiety affects our health, and it often shows on our faces. Those close to us can often see the emotional anguish in our life. Life always has a way of working itself out, so do the best you can to control what you can control, and the rest will take care of itself. 2 King 4:1-7 tells the story of Elijah, a widow, and the debtor who is about to repossess all her property, enslave her and her children.
As we can all notice; there is no shortage of uncertainty in the world we live in today. For example, it is not certain that someone that has a job in the morning will have that same job in the evening. Likewise, being alive in the morning does not guarantee same at night. This widow never thought of finding herself in this situation, but her action during uncertain season saved her life and that of her family. Her step of faith in believing the prophet of God and doing exactly what the man of God told her helped her to overcome her season of uncertainty. Your obedience to the voice of heaven determines your quick recovery from your uncertain season, likewise, your total disobedience to the word of God and divine direction will further lead you to despair and destruction. I believe this is the same situation for the Shunammite woman who found herself barren. All glory to Almighty God who gave her and her husband the grace and the wisdom to be selfless giver, to think about, observe and meet the need of the man of God, Elisha, who God used to solve her hopeless situation (2 Kings 4:8-37).
As you read this book, I am imploring you to stay focused and have an open mind in receiving nuggets for overcoming whichever season of your life you are passing through. By reading this book “Overcoming the Uncertain season” I pray the Lord will open your eyes to see the mystery in His word in Jesus’ name.
At the close of the fourth chapter of Esther, the Jews in Susa and throughout the Persian empire are in danger of decimation. It seems the enemy’s plan in destroying them is almost prevailing. Haman has promised to pay certain amount of money to the king’s treasury after killing all the Jews. Esther 4:7-8 “And Mordecai told Esther all that had happened to him, and the sum of money that Haman had promised to pay into the king’s treasuries to destroy the Jews. 8 He also gave her a copy of the written decree for their destruction, which was given at Shushan to destroy the Jews…” In this cliffhanger moment, God’s people were fasting, praying, and expressing their dependence upon His Divine intervention. They fasted for three days and nights. But God had a plan, He knew what was about to happen and had set in place far ahead of time, positioned Esther in the palace as Queen of Persia to be His favorable instrument during the Jews uncertain season and to help them out. God has a plan for you as well, only if you can call on Him, trust and express your total dependence on Him during your uncertain season, you will experience a divine favor beyond your wildest understanding.
